what winter clothes i need to prepare in beijing from 16 to 20 december?

Hi, I'll be traveling to Beijing from 16 to 20 December 2010. May I know what kind of winter clothes I have to prepare? Must I wear a down jacket? Or can I wear jacket which is meant for 5 degrees and above plus a wool sweater and a longjohn? Thk u
