About:Chinese Consulate in Sydney

My wife and I are both Hong Kong born Australians. We both have Hong Kong ID cards but not our 3 children. They were all born in Australia. I have taken a short term work contract in Hong Kong for 6-12 months starting from 2011 January. I would like to know what type of visa I need to get for my children to enable them to study in Hong Kong for the 6-12 months in 2011. where would I need to submit the visa applications for my children? They are 6 and 4 years of age.
Thank you.

You can apply for Hong Kong Dependant Visa for your children, you can submit visa application to Chinese embassy/consulate in Australia which holds consular jurisdiction over the place where you reside. It takes 4 weeks for visa application because your application will be sent to Hong Kong immigration department for approval.
