My family will be traveling to china in January. Even if it snows will we be able to see the wall and the forbidden city. We are from the north and won't mind the cold

Yes, you can still see the Forbidden City. It is spectacular to see the Forbidden City in snow. Tourists will be much fewer. Not sure if the Great Wall will be opened or not. When I was there last year, it was closed because of snow. I only had a glance of the Wall without climbing it. But sometimes it is opened even if it snows. Maybe it depends how heavy it snows. Really don’t know. Sorry~
