How far to visit the Great Wall from Dalian?

I will be staying in Dalian. How far will it be to visit the Great Wall?

There is a train from Dalian to Shanhaiguan Pass, which is the east end of the Great Wall. The train journey is about 6.5 hours. Or you can go directly to Beijing to see the famous Badaling, Mutianyu, etc. The train journey is 10.5 hours.

But the Great Wall streches so long and coves a large area. Which section do you refer to? Anyway, the closest one should be Old Dragon's Head (Lao Long Tou) and it is around 540km away.
