About:History of Silk Road

Were ginger jars used on the silk road to carry only ginger or a variety of spices? Were ginger jars used for any other function?

The so called ginger jar is a kind of porcelain (white and blue porcelain of Yuan Dynasty). It was in infact tea container, but used to contain ginger (rare spices at that time)by westerners, so had that name.
