About:Yanzishan Park

We have approx 9 hours between flights in early December 2010 and would like to leave the airport to see the Forbidden City. (1) is it open at this time of year? (2) what are the hours it is open? (3) is this a reasonable amount of time to see it? (4) what is the best way to get there? and the cost of getting there? (5) is there an entrance cost? Thank you.

The forbidden city is open at that time. The hours is 8:30-17:00. I spent 5 hours there, so it depends. You can take airport express train to Dongzhimen first and then change to subway Line 2 and then Line 1 to Tiananmen Dong. Walk there. The cost is 27RMB in total. Yes, the entrance cost is 60RMB. If you leave the airport you should handle visa in the airport.
