Question

I will be in Shanghai for the entire month of December.  Aside from the city, are there any countryside getaways?  I would like to visit a hot springs and the great wall, etc.

For hot spring, I suggest you go to Tangshan Yishang Hot Spring which is the biggest one near Shanghai. Well, if you want to visit the Grest Wall, you'd better go to Beijing to visit the Badaling Grest Wall.
