Your boyfriend can't get a China visa from Hong Kong for you, you need to apply for a China visa in Philippines. The bank statement is required if it is the first time for you apply for China visa. Your account should have at least 50,000 pesos. If you can't provide it, your boyfriend's bank statement is Ok for the visa application, the sponsorship and invitation letter from him, copy of his valid residence visa and passport information page are also required.
