if i stay at a hotel in macau, is it practical to commute each day to zhuhai for business

If I stay at a hotel in Macau, is it practical to commute each day to ZhuHai for business - or are the border formalities very time-consuming?  (I am going to ZhuHai for business, but all the hotels in ZhuHai are full for a large conference, so I am wondering if I can stay in Macau).  How long should I allow?

It is possible to do that but passing the customs is really time concuming since sometimes you have to queue for around 1 hour.You'd have to go there very early in the morning to pass the boarder to Macau.
