I am interested in buying home remodeling supplies such as granite countertops, etc. I understand there is a "merchandise mart" where most Beijing wholesalers are congregated. Anyone know where this is?

Not every congregated. You can try at Jimei and Shilihe. But they are not as cheap as you expected.
