About:Macau Visa Policy

My wife has a U.S. green card and a PRC passport. We will travel to hong kong, ferry to macau for 1 day, (total of 5 days), then go to thailand. From what I read, she does not need a visa to HK under 7 days. Does that mean this is true as well when we take the ferry to Macau? What does she need to bring with her? The passport and plane tickets to thailand?

She should better apply for a Exit-Entry Permit to Hong Kong / Macau at her local Police. And also, the passport and plane tickets to Thailand is required.

I don't quite understand the response. Is it required or not required? I would rather not have to pre-apply for the visa if I don't have to.

Mr.Lee, as Mr.Joe said above, your wife needs to apply for a Exit-Entry permit to Hong Kong and Macao, this is not a visa, but a enter permit for travelers from Chinese mainland.
