About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

My chinese lady from Nanning has her Australian tourist visa to visit me in Australia I have arranged a flight through Hong Kong she will be in transit for 5 hours staying within the airport waiting for her flight to Perth I have been told she will have to apply for a visa to be in transit is this correct? also she has to have permission to leave China even if she has a current passport are these two things correct?

For your first concern, she doesn't need to apply for a visa to transit in HK in that case. And for the second, she can leave China if she provides the Australian visa on her passport. No other permission she needs for leaving.
