Hi, I will be visiting Beijing between 12 and 17th of November. I want to know that will i see snow and ice in city and farther afield (for example at The Great Wall)? I like walking and will i need boots instead of sneakers on mid November ? And one more thing what is the air pollution condition of Beijing ?Thank you very much.

Hi, It is cold in December in Beijing. The temperature will be under zero. You may see snow and ice during that time. Boots is better in mid november. The air pollution is not so bad in winter in Beijing.

So are boots necessary in nov, or sneakers are fine? is the weather still okay for outdoor activities, such as going to the attractions?  where are the best places for tasting the local food? :P thank you.

The weather will be cold, sneakers will be too cold. Boots are better. The weather would be okay for outdoor activities. The best place for tasting the local food is Shichahai Area, Yandai Xiejie, Nanluogu Xiang, Wangfujing Dajie.You are welcome.
