could you recommend which part of great wall i should go?

Hi, I plan to go to great wall on 16 (Saturday) or 18 Oct (Sunday), which one better? I'm travelling with senior (76 years old), could you recommend which part of great wall I should go? We will stay in Novotel Xinjiao and plan to use taxi, do you know how much I have to pay to go there and back? Thanks.

I recommend you Mutianyu. There will be less tourists there and the traffic is much smoother by taxi than Badaling, for traffic jams happen a lot on Badaling haighway recently. It cost about rmb600 from downtown bejing to Mutinyu for a round-trip(10 hours). No much difference about 16th or 18th.
