About:China Visa Fees

I have a 6 month multiple entry F visa issued in London. The longest duration of stay is 60 days. The wording on the visa is "Entry Before Date" and it is dated 9-Oct-2010.

I went with a work colleague to meet a visa agent at the visa office in Pudong, Shanghai but the agent said i do not need to apply for an extension as my last entry date was 14-Sep so i have 60 days from that date before i need a visa extension. I've been told visas issued in China have an Expiry Date rather then Enter Before date.

Is this information correct ? I dont want to overstay and would like to visit Beijing but am worried that i have nothing to prove i went to the visa office so if they treat the date as an expiry date, i could be overstaying by 60 days.

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean you have entered China on 14 Sep? If yes, you can stay in China for 60 days until about 14 Nov. Since your visa is multi-entry, you can leave for another region and back again. Some my friends just went through the control then back again without actually leaving China.
