I am Malaysia Citizen and currently travelling in Brunei, I will visit to China on 8th Oct (Friday), my planning is to apply visa on 4th Oct (Monday) when I back to Malaysia. Please advice, when can I collect my visa?
By the way, for visa application should I bring the original passport? Can I ask my relative to submit the visa application by using photocopy passport?

For visa application, you should bring the original passport, your relative can't submit the visa application by using passport photocoy.

If you submit the application on October 4 to Chinese Visa Application Service Center, the earliest time for you to pick up China visa is october 8 (2 pm) by applying for rush service.

The detailed information is below:

According to the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, the Consular Office of the Chinese Embassy will be closed from 1st to 7th October 2010 (Friday-Thursday) for China National Day holiday, and will be operating as usual on 8th October 2010. As a result, Chinese Visa Application Service Center (CVASC) will have some adjustment on the visa processing time during the closure of the Consular Office. The adjustments are as below:

i. During the closure of the Consular Office, 1st-7th October 2010, CVASC will be operating as usual.
ii. CVASC will only accept regular and rush application but not the express application.
Service Submission date Collection date
Regular 1st-5th October 11th October
Regular 6th- 7th October 12th October
Rush 1st-7th October 8th October (2pm)
