About:Embassy & Consulates of India in China

Dear Sir / Madam,

Right now i am in China from last 8months. My passport (Issued at Bangalore, India)valid up to Nov'2012. I want to renew the passport now at China. Kindly inform me what is the procedure and how many days it will takes for issuing the new passport.

You can renew your passport at India embassy or consulate in China. Application for a new passport is required to be submitted at least two months before the date of expiry of the current passport to facilitate processing of the application and issue of new passport in time.

Following documents/papers are required to be submitted:
Application form No.EAP-1.

Original passport, current passport and additional booklets, if any.

Four recent colored passport size photographs.

Fee: RMB 335.00 (36 pages)/RMB 415.00 (60 pages).
