Hi. My family and I will be staying at my sister's place in Shanghai for 3 days and then we're all going to Beijing for another 3 days and back to Shanghai the day before our return trip to the Philippines. We already have the invitation and sponsorship letter from my sister. Will we need to book for a hotel in Beijing?And another question, when I submit the visa application requirements, will I be told immediately if the application is approved? Or will I have to wait for the 4-day processing?Thank you.

You need to provide the hotel booking in Beijing if you list that you will go to Shanghai and Beijing on the visa application form, however, if you write that you only visit Shanghai on the application form, you don't need to provide the hotel booking in Beijing. After you get the China visa, you can visit Beijing and Shanghai You have to wait for 4 days processing to know the result of application, if your application is approved, you can pick up your visa and passport, otherwise, only your passport is returned to you.
