to whome it may concern,greating from shanghai. i would like to ask that i have got an offer letter from from one of the companies in shanghai and i wanna work there they are getting me the invitaion letter and work permit, but they informed me that i have to leave china and apply to z visa from syria....is there any way to get the z visa in china since i have L visa and my wife is chinese   ???warm regards

There is no other way for you to get the Z visa within Mainland China, generally speaking, foreigners should apply for work visa (Z visa) outside of Mainland China, after entering Mainland China, apply for Temporary Residence Permit at the local public security bureau. Only high level foreigners who are invited to work in China in emergencies can hold a L VISA to China, then change it into Temporary Residence Permit for work in China

If your wife is Chinese, you can apply for a long time L visa for 6 months or 1 year.But now you have the working license, you can change your L visa to the Z visa without leaving China mainland.You should find a visa agent in shanghai to help you do that. if you have any questions, you can consult me.
