how easy is it to follow the instructions here to travel to jinshanling by public

How easy is it to follow the instructions here to travel to Jinshanling by public transport? Has anyone gone this way? Is it better to go with an organised tour from one of the hostels in Beijing?Thanks :-)

Yes JW, as you said, taking an organised tour by the hostels will be much easier than go by yourself. However, your time schedule will be constrained, not as freely as going on your own. I think you can check with the hostel about the whole tour time schedule. If you think it's acceptable, you can take the tour with the hostel.
