Hello, we arrive in Beijing on the 1st of October (National Day!) and would like to stay one week in Beijing. Can you tell us what is the best time to visit the Forbidden City in this busy period? Is it closed during this period?And can you also tell us if there are some special activities in the city for the National Day (fireworks, parade, dancing, ...),Thanks a lotKurt

No big difference, in fact, for it will be busy everyday during the week. It will not closed. No parade and dancing this year. I think fireworks may happen to see.
