About:Mount Emei

Is it worthwhile to stay three days at Emei before heading down?

After visiting Huanglong and Jinzhai valley, I have minimum 2 full days for Mt. Emei in mid-Oct, even thinking of spending up to 3 days there if it is worth it. Arrive 1st day and stay at its foot . Start up on 2nd day and stay overnight up in the mountain. Please advise if it is worthwhile to stay one more night up there before heading down. I love nature like seeing the wonderful mountains at Yellow Mountion in Anhui.
Secondly, I read some recommend walking up either from the bottom or start mid-way from Lei dong ping station. How long it takes and how demanding to hike from the bottom up??? I notice no one talk about walking down to enjoy the view, walking down is usually less demanding so there an particular reason no one suggest it?? Thanks in advance for any advices, it would be useful.

Not worth to go 3 days, I think two days are enough. usually, no one suggest walking down the mountain because visitors will feel very tired on legs while climbing up. Getting down is harder than climbing up. It depends, if you do not feel that tired, you can walk down of course. If you want to hike from the begining to the end, think about 3 days or more. It takes 1.5-2 hours by regular bus from the entrance to Leipingdong, so, it will taks hours by foot. It should take 15 hours hiking from the bottom.
