About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

Hi
I am fly with Air China from London to Kunming via Beijing T3 with an 8hr wait for the Beijing T3 to Kunming flight.

Can you just confirm please:
1. That I have to collect my checked in luggage at T3? and is there somewhere I can store it safely for 8hrs rather than carry a heavy bag with me?
2. Do I have to go to the transit/transfer area of the airport? if yes can I access facilities such as the hourly lounge & places to eat?
3. Or do I have other options available to me?

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Yes, you have to collect baggages after arrive at Beijing Airport and also go through customs. At the public area of the arrival hall in T3, there is Left Luggage center for your use. However, if you go ahead to the transit area, you could re-check in the luggage at the counter of Air China. I think this way is much easier.

Both at the transit and departure area, you could find restaurants for dining. But, there is no hourly lounge here. For instead, please sit at the restaurants for a rest, and the large departure area is also a good choice.
