About:Shanghai Travel

I am going as a passenger on a cruise ship which visit Shangai from 7.00AM to 18Hrs next day on October. Will I need a Chinese visitor VISA at all in order to go ashore in Shanghai? . I do not currently have a Chinese VISA . It seems to me that the Shanghai City 48 hour exemption for Mexican and Spanish citizens would apply by the SHANGAI EXPO here, but I am not certain.

I would appreciate any advice you can give me on this subject! and if is possible the link of the Site where we can check it.

You do not need a visa to ashore in shanghai, but a landing permit is required from border checkpoint.

Mr. Luke
Thank you for your response. What do you mean by landing permit from border checkpoint and where can I get it, or how can I get more information about this.
Thank you again!
