1. The original passport with at least six-month validity and two blank visa pages, one photocopy of the passport page containing the personal particulars.
2. Truly completed and signed Visa Application Form of the People's Republic of China. One recent passport-photo size color photograph of the applicant.
3. Invitation letter (if visit for the first time).
4. If he is going to China for visiting family, Proof of relationship, photocopy of the identity document and residence permit of the relative in China are required.
5. bank statements, round-trip air tickets booking, etc.

But if he is on a business visit, he needs to provide:
1. Visa Notification Form issued by the authorized government departments/companies/units in China, or formal Invitation Letter issued by renowned and creditable companies/units in China.
2. Visa recommendation letter from the applicant's employing company, organization, etc.
