About:Halal Food in Beijing

Hi,
I am going to stay at Beijing Friendship hotel from 27-30 September. After that I plan to extend my stay for holiday at another hotel for 3 days?. Could someone tell me on the following :

1) Does the hotel serve Halal food? If no, is there any Halal restaurant around?
2) Which mosque is the nearest to the hotel?
3) Any suggestion on good hotels in Beijing?
4) Is Beijing safe for single tourist?
5) Is there any part-time 'tourist guide' service offered by Malaysian student or local that I can guide me during my holiday?.
6)What is the best transport to go to tourist spots? taxi?bus?train?.

Thank You
Suff

1. Seems this hotel doesn't have Halal restaurant. You'd better ask the hotel staff for recommendation. On the other hand, this hotel is located close to two universities, where you could have Halal food
2. No mosque here
3. So many places to stay in Beijing, what is your requirements or which region do you prefer? One recommendation is the Xiyuan Hotel which is a muslim hotel and located very close to Beijing Zoo.
4. Of course safe for single tourist.
5. you may visit some university website for a try
6. Highly recommend you take Beijing metro as much as possible, which could take you to most of the tourist spots and very cheap. Of course, some spots could only be reached by bus, such as the Great Wall.
