I had booked return air ticket from my home country to visit Chengdu from 20th oct to 29th oct, I planned to travel around Jiuzhaigou, appreciate if any of you can share with me some of the travelling tips especially after the heavy flooding recently affect some parts of Sichuan areas, which are the areas that I should avoid going at this time, how far is the land route from Xian to Jiuzhaigou? Thank you very much. Regards

The flood didn't affect the tourism of any area in Chengdu, no worry. From Xian to Jiuzhaigou is too far to take the land transportation. Most people take the airway. BTW, late october is not a good time to visit Jiuzhaigou as it is too cold. I sugget you advance your schedule.
