About:Chinese Consulate in San Francisco

My family is traveling to China at the end of the month. We will be staying there for 17 days, however, we want to apply for a multiple entry visa (in the event that any of us would like to travel there with in the year). Is it a good idea to do that, even though we currently have no further plans on visiting again?

Yes, it is a good idea to apply for a multiple-entry visa to China because USA applicants have to pay for 140 USD no matter how many entries visa they apply for.
