About:China Weather

I am travelling to Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Guilin, then hong kong from 27th Aug- 14th September. I am a bit worried about the rain and floods.... it's difficult to find out on the internet whether these areas have been effected. It's seems on weather forecasts that the rain is still coming down most days, can anyone tell me what to expect? Mostly rain or will it hopefully start to clear up soon?

Actually, the rainy season in north China is July and August. So it will be the end of it for Beijing and Xian. There may be still rains, but not too many. No need to worry about the flood.

It rains a lot in Chengdu these days. It even caused natural disaters and broke the road to Jiuzhaigou. It seems the rain will continue in a week.

It is the rainy season in Guilin. But most time will be cloudy and summy in a week.
