We will be going to Datong for the day next week. We will have our luggage with us.First is it easy to find a taxi at the airport? Are there agencies or do you just go out and haggle with a driver? Also is it safe to leave the luggage with the Taxi driver as we go sightseeing?  Any suggestions?

It is not difficult to get a taxi at the airport. You mean you hire a taxi for sighseeing? If you would stay one night in Datong, suggest you leave the lugguage in hotel first. I think it is safe to leave the luggage with the taxi. Still take important things with you. I am not telling it should be unsafe to do that, but it is important to be cautious enough.
