I am a Malaysian.I'll arrive at Shanghai Pu Dong Airport from Japan. I have six hours transit at Shanghai Pu Dong Airport on my way to Singapore. Can i exit from immigration for meeting my friend at Shanghai Pu Dong Airport during six hours then I'll get boarding pass to Singapore before two hours for departure?

Can i apply for 1 day stay permit on the spot when i arrived Shanghai Pudong airport? Or i must apply the permit at China Embassy in Malaysia before the trip? Should i pay for the fee of this permit?
