About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

I would like to know if my 7-year-old son can study in Shenzhen with L visa, and what we should do to get him a residence visa?

Please help. Chinese Embassy in Philippines do not want to issue Z visa for my son without the Visa Notification. But I have been here in Shenzhen for 3 years now, and the Shenzhen Department of Affairs said they only issue the Visa Notification one time to the working employee, and the dependents who will follow after that will only need to present the relationship certificates.

Therefore, my 7-year old son will come here on an L visa. I would like to know if he can study here, and what we should doto get him a residence visa oncehe arrive here in Shenzhen on an L visa. I would appreciate your response.

I think he can study in Shenzhen, please don't worry, I know that your son can't apply for dependant visa without the visa notification and he can only come to Shenzhen on a L visa, the rule is ridiculous, the China embassy in Manila requires the visa notification, but the Shenzhen department of foreign affairs doesn't issue it again.

When your son arrive in Shenzhen, please go to the local police station to apply for Residence Permit for your son, besides the passport of your son, your passport, the copy of residence permit and work visa on your passport, your work permit, original NSO birth certificate are also required.
