Question

Hi, I plan to travel to Lijiang in mid Sep 2010. I will stay in some hotel in Lijiang and plan to go to Jade dragon snow mountain on my second day. Can you recommend which is the best way to get there. If I also would like to get to the top by cable, is the cable available during that time? As read the above forum, it was closed since April 2010 for one year. Thanks a lot.

There is more than one cable way in the snow mountain. The big one is under renovation and expected to be re-open in November. So, you would miss the change ti see the glacier above on the cable car. The small one will not reach the mountain top. You can take it to Yunshan Ping. Then Climb up. That will be a hard work for lack of Oxygen.
