Can buy my return ticket in advance (Beijing to Shanghai) at SH railway station?

Hi. I will arrive at Pudong International Airport in SH around 1 AM on August 22. I will be staying at Mingtown Youth Hostel for the rest of my stay in SH. I would like to catch a train bound to Beijing on the night of August 23. If I buy tickets in the morning of August 22, do you think T - train hard sleeper tickets would still be available by then? I am worried that the tickets will be sold out by then.

And my last question is, how do I get to SH Railway Station via subway/ bus or taxi from my hotel (Mingtown Yoith Hostel)? We are a group of four travelers so taxi bill could be split among the four of us, but it would be nice if there are easier and cheaper alternatives. Thank you so much for whoever can help me.

It is difficult to say whether it is available or not for you to buy a hard sleeper ticket. You may have a try. You can buy your return ticket in advance at SH railway station.

You can take subway Line 1 from People's Square to SH Railway Station. It costs about CNY3 per person.

The name of the train Station is South Railway Station, line 1 (RED), very easy! From People Square to that is 8 stations, about 15 minutes. Take care when you buy the tickets to Beijing about where departures the train. Aks for a chineese to confirm in which station you need to take it!
