1. It’s a good season in September Beijing, it’s warm, maybe a little cold in the early morning and late night. End of the rainy season. A T-shirt, pants and a thin coat is enough.

2. Your hotel is within walking distance to Wangfujing subway station.

To Olympic Village: Get on the subway at Wagfujing station, change to line5 at Dongdan, alight at Huixinxijienankou and change to line10, alight at Beitucheng and change to line8 to the Olympic Village. Seems complicated, but you may refer to the Beijing subway map I have added to the reply. Believe me; it will save you a lot of money, only rmb2/one if you buy a Beijing transportation smart card.

To Old Summer Palace:Get on the subway on Wangfujing Subway station, alight at Xidan and change to Line4 to the Old Summer Palace;to new Summer Palace, just follow the same way but get off at Beigongmen Station and walk about 980 meters to it. Beigongmen station is two more steps far than the Old Summer Palace station. I think the new Summer Palace is nicer, but the meaning is different.

To Beijing Zoo: Get on the subway on Wangfujing Subway station, alight at Xidan and change to Line4, you may alight at Beijing Zoo station (Beijing Dongwuyuan, cannot see from the map).

To Beihai Park: Take bus103 at the north of Wangfujing Crossing, you may alight at Beihai station and walk about 320 meters to the park.
