About:Shanghai Travel

After our group tour to Hangzhou/HuangShan, my wife and I will be extending our stay in Shanghai for 7 days from 21 to 27 Sep 10. We will be staying at St. Regis Hotel in Pudong, and would spent about 3 days visiting the Shanghai Expo. Thus we intend to visit cities nearby Shanghai which are connected by HSR. Please advice me on the following issues:

Q1. How far is Regis Hotel from Pudong Airport? What is the best mode of transport from the Airport to St. Regis Hotel? How far is St Regis Hotel from famous Nanjing Street in Shanghai?

Q2. Is Wuxi an worth visiting? Howe do we travel from Shanghai to Wuxi? By HSR? Cost of train ticket? Is one day in Wuxi enough? What are places of attractions in Wuxi?

Q3 We have been Suzhuo, and will be going to Hangzhou, any other cities nearby Shanghai which are worth visiting?

Thank You Very Much

1. It is about 35km from Pudong Airport to Regis Hotel. Subway Line 2 can take you to the Century Avenue. Then you can walk about several minutes to your hotel. It is about 6km from Nanjing Street to St. Regis Hotel.

2. As one of China's famous tourist destinations, Wuxi is really worthy of visiting. You can take D-train from Shanghai to Wuxi. The ticket fare of the hard seat is about CNY39 and the soft seat is about CNY47. I think one day is enough in Wuxi. Taihu Lake (Tai Lake), Li Garden, Plum Garden and Three Kingdom City attract many people.

3. I think Ningbo, Shaoxing, Lianyungang and zhouzhuang are also good places to visit.
