Hi, I am in Nanjing, but I want to visit Lijiang to Lhasa and Katmandu for the 1st week in October. What advice can anybody provide? Is it possible to fly from Nanjing to Lijiang, and then again from Katmandu or Lhasa back to Nanjing? And what about the travel formalities with regard to going to Lhasa, Tibet and Katmandu, Nepal. From Nanjing to Lijiang, one direct flight of JD5127 is available on each Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. And both from Katmandu and Lhasa back to Nanjing, there are no direct flights. From Lhasa to Nanjing, you can transfer at Chengdu. Besides, it is a necessity for travelers of foreign nationality to apply for a Tibet permit before going to Lhasa. About the formalities to travel Katmandu, Nepal, you could search the details by yourself.
