Hello!I'be visiting Vietnam in August and having been several times in China (a country that I love) in the past few years I would also like to go back for 4-5 days from Hanoi to Jinghong, Xishuangbanna. Do I need a regular VISA for just a few days? If yes, can I obtain it in Hanoi in how many days?Thank you so much for all the valuable informationKind Regards

yes, you need a regular tourist visa for the 4-5 days visit in China. You can't get the China visa in Hanoi if you don't have work permit in Vietnam, you can go to China consulate in Ho Chin Minh city to apply for it, which accept China visa application from applicants who are tourists in Vietnam.
