We are planning to avail the octopus card. I would like to know the mode of payment in public transportation like bus and tram. I mean do they accept cash or money? Or we have to load our octopus card because it only has 20HKD and it is not enough. Thank you so much for your advise. Really helps me a lot.

Nov 7: Shueng wan to Central by mtr and then take Tung Chung Line to Tung Chung Station, half a hour. Get out from Exit B and walk 5 minutes to Nging Ping 360 cable car station. The cable car is open at 10am. Get there ealier and then take cable to Nging Ping. 2 hours are enough at Nging Ping. So, get back to Tung Chung again at 13:00. Then heading for disneyland. Take MTR to Sunny Bay, one stop only, then change to Disney special Line to the park.
Cost per person: Shueng Wan to Tung Chung: 21HKD, Tung Chung - Disneyland: 12.5HKD, 107HKD for round trip cable at Nging Ping 360.
Nov 8: Take mtr to Admiralty from Shueng Wan, two stops. Get out from Exit 8. There is an Ocean Park ticket office here. Buy ticket and get to the bus station next to the office. Take Bus 629 to Ocean Park directly. Take the same bus back to Admiralty and then walk 20 minutes to Victoria Peak. If you have children and can not walk, take mtr to Central and take bus 15 (9.8HKD) to the Peak top, or 15C (HKD 4.2) to Peak tram.
Cost per person: Shueng Wan - Admiralty 4HKD, bus 926: 10.6HKD, Admiralty - Central 4HKD.
Kids 3-11 years old pay for half of the price and if you have Octopus card, it will be a bit cheaper. So, you have Nov 6 and 9 to do some shopping or other sightseeing.

They accept cash. Bus will keep the change if you do not have small money. Do you mean you have already had Octupus card? That will be convenient to use the card if you have one and you can load some money at any mtr stations.

hi, mr nurse, you can use the card in bus, MTR, tram (not Peak Tram), star ferry and in stores, can use it to pay for a taxi or ferry ticket to Macau. Just buy the on-load Octopus card, do not buy travel pass, because the travel pass can not be used in bus, only MTR (excluding Lo Wo, Lao Ma Chau). Many restrictions.
