About:Wenzhou Travel

Hello. I am going to Wenzhou on 11th of August (2010). i will stay in the house of a friend of mine located in the centre of the city. I'd like to know what the main Wenzhou attractions are, how to get to them ( by bus or by car). I see that a lot of websites and guides suggest to go to the Nanji Isle and Mountain Yandang. Are they difficult to get to from the city centre? Are there other must-see places near Wenzhou? i would be glad to visit as many good places as possible. i will stay in wenzhou for 15 days!!

You can go to visit Nanxi River Scenic Area and Jiangxinyu Island.

Nanxi River Scenic Area：Take No.33 bus from Wenzhou Railway Station to Anlanting Wharf, and then take a ferry to Oubei Town. From there, take a bus to Yantou County which costs CNY11. It takes 1 hour to get there.

Jiangxinyu Island：Take bus 6, 28, 29, 31, 51, 201 to Jiangxin Wharf, then take the ferry boat to Jiangxinyu Island

Yandang Mountain and Nanji Isle are a little far from the city center, but they are not too difficult to reach. Eg:For Yandang Mountain,You can take a bus at Ningbo South Station and get off at Yandang Town (Baixi) (Estimated time: four hours). Take a travel bus at Wenzhou New South Staion is also a good choice (Ticket: CNY 27). If you are in Hangzhou, you can also take a bus at East Station 07:00 or 14:00 (Ticket: CNY 85; Time: 5 hours) Once you are in Shanghai, you can take a train to Wenzhou first, or take a bus at Zhiqing Bus Station at 2 P.M. directly (Bus ticket price: CNY 130 in low season, CNY 150 in peak season).
