About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Hi i am going to fly china southern airways to Japan but the airline goes from melbourne to Guangzhou china and then plane change which is a 4 hour wait and then Guangzhou china to Fukuoka Japan

Do i need a visa seeing as i am only staying at the airport and only there for 4 hours

You don't need a transit visa if you stay at the airport during the 4 hours stopover.
