how much a would a taxi cost from hongqiao airport to yiwu city?or would travelling by train be the better option?

It is very expensive to take a taxi. You'd better first go to Shanghai south railway station. Then take D-trains to Yiwu City. D93 starts from 15:27 and D109/112 starts from 15:45. You should get there before the starting time.
