At 16: 45, June 29, 2010, an accident happened to the equipment of the Space Journey of the Shenzhen OCT East Town, causing death and casualties. It is released that 6 out of the 48 tourists were dead, 3 on the spot and 3 in the hospital. Another 10 people were injured, 5 of whom were still in danger. Space Journey Project was put into operation last year to provide tourists the personal experience of 2G acceleration of gravity in the time of rocket launch by taking an aircraft simulator. After the accident, the OCT East has decided to close up the Grand Canyon and Tea Stream Resort Valley for one day to check all the equipments and amenities.
