About:Chinese Embassy in Australia

Hi,

I am currently studying in Germany (with a student visa for Germany) and will be travelling to Shanghai for 10 days at the end of July. I currently have an Australian passport. Do I need to apply for a visa? And if so, what type of visa? Do I need to obtain this visa prior to boarding the plane? Please reply asap! Thanks.

Ms.Catherine, you need a China visa to Shanghai, you can apply for tourist visa (L visa). You need to obtain this visa before you board the plane. Now, you can apply for China visa at the China embassy/consulate in Germany according to the consular districts because you hold student visa for Germany.
