About:How to Choose China Train Ticket Types?

I would like to go from
Xi An to Luoyang stopover 1 day
Luoyang-Beijing

Both trains if possible 1st class accommodations; Luoyang-Beijing 1st class private room
Can you advise?

From Xian to Luoyang, you can take a G train which costs less than 2 hrs. From Luoyang to Beijing, you could take the train T42, and it just takes about 7.5 hrs to Beijing. However, the most comfortable one to take on the train is the soft sleeper.
