About:

I am traveling from Hong Kong to Shanghai on the 4th of July. I need to be in Shanghai airport PVG for a flight out on the 5th at 15:00. I thought the train from Hong Kong might be an interesting way to end a trip with my wife and daughter. Do you agree and can you guide me as to which train to take and when it leaves and arrives in Shanghai?

Also how far is the train station in Shanghai to the PVG airport?

There is no train from Hong Kong to Shanghai on July 4th. But, you could take the train on July 3rd departing from Hung Hom Train Station, Hong Kong to Shanghai Railway Station. It will leave at 15:15 and arrive in Shanghai the next 10:00. Then, at Shanghai Railway Station, you could take the shuttle bus Line 5 or a taxi to the PVG in one hour.
