About:Hong Kong Visa Policy

Dear there,

I am Cambodian, have a working visa in Japan. But i will leave Japan end of this June. Before reaching Cambodia, I would like to travel to Hong Kong, then to Philippines. Please kindly help me out.

1. I wanna visit Hong Kong. As posted on website of Chinese Embassy, they need return air tickets and hotel booking. Will ticket from Hong Kong to Philippines be acceptable as a return ticket? Do I need to book hotel? Is it also valid if I book cheap places like hostels, but not hotel?

2. I confirmed with the embassy here that if I don't have hotel booking, then I have to submit my bank certification and employment certification. As i quit my job in this June, will my employment certificate acceptable if I can get one before quitting? How much money is considered to be enough? If I have the documents listed in no.1 above, then do I still need these 2 documents?

2. During my stay in Hong Kong, I would like to visit Macau and Shen Zhen of China and return back to Hong Kong to take my flight to Philippines. Can I re-enter Hong Kong with the same visa or do I need to apply for a new one?

Thank you very much

1. the ticket from Hong Kong to Philippines is accepted as a return ticket which can prove that you won't overstay in Hong Kong, you'd better book the hotel, the hostel book maybe not accepted by the China embassy/consulate

2. you'd better provide the hotel reservation rather than the bank certificate and employment certification.

3. you can't re-enter Hong kong with the same visa, you need to apply for a new one, you also need a visa to Macau and Shenzhen. It is possible for you to get a visa on arrival in Macau or Shenzhen.

Thank you very much Mr. Steven.

3. If I can't re-enter Hong Kong with the same visa, where can I apply for a new one? Can we apply at the border crossing from Macau or from Shenzhen? How long would it takes? Is there any multiple entry visa that I can apply only once?

About Shenzhen visa, does Cambodian nationalities eligible for applying on arrival? It is said mostly eligible for EU countries, but no info about other countries.

Thanks.

When you apply for Hong Kong visa, you can apply for double entries, then you can go to Hong Kong twice.

I'm afraid that it is not easy for Cambodians to apply for visa on arrival in Shenzhen or Macau, the visa regulation for Cambodians are strict.

I think that it is complex for your itinerary, you need a double-entry Hong Kong visa, Macau visa, China visa to Shenzhen, you'd better get all the visas in Japan, then you won't have problems, otherwise, I'm afraid that you have to change you travel plan if your visa application is denied.
