About:Beijing Travel

We are travelling to Beijing on July 19 2010 for 3 days.Could you advice us which 3 or 4 star hotel is the best place to stay near forbidden city and great wall (Badaling)

Please consider the Red Wall Hotel which is located in the walking-distance to the north gate of the Forbidden City. Or the Shatan Hotel located on the same street. On the other hand, there are many chain hotels located around the Forbidden City.

Those 2 places are far apart. From Forbidden city to Great wall will take 2 hours. You can live close to Forbidden city and get a hotel around 300 RMB. Then take a tour bus to Great wall. There are quite lot of hotels with the price range I mentioned in Beijing
