About:Chinese Embassy in Italy

I am a US citizen, living in China. I have a Chinese F visa (because I am 18 years old and just finished high school in Beijing) but it will expire while I am in Italy. Can I get a tourist visa from the Chinese Embassy in Italy even though I am not a resident of Italy so I can return to China?

Mr. Ryan, an applicant holding a passport other than Italian passport should provide the original and a copy of his or her permanent residence or work permit which should be valid for at least half a year (except for those who enjoy visa or permit exemption for residing or working in Italy).

You can have a try to apply for China visa, the regulation vary according to the nationality of applicants.
