I will be traveling on the high speed train later this week from Wuhan to the new Guangzhou South Station.  I have a hotel booked in the Haizhu District.  Is bus transportation convenient from the new south station to the Haizhu District? Would it be better to take a cab, or is it too expensive?

Looking and waiting for bus,,, pain in the neck. Cab is efficient, convenient, and cheap. Just present the print out of hotel/address to the cab driver and away you go LOL...

Yes, taxis are more convenient, but are there shuttle buses from the new train station that will take you into the city?  The new train station is far from the city.
